Safety Site Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Construction Safety Site Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across active construction sites. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs and procedures designed to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.

The Coordinator partners closely with site management, field personnel, and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to all safety standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include conducting routine site inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, leading safety training sessions, and promoting a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the project lifecycle.

We are seeking an outgoing, energetic professional who thrives in a dynamic construction environment and enjoys engaging with teams in the field. This role is highly active and requires the ability to walk several miles per day across job sites, navigate varying terrain, and remain present and visible to support crews throughout the workday.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in construction safety regulations, and committed to fostering a safe, compliant, and productive work environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Provide safety training and orientation to all site personnel.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with site management to address safety concerns promptly.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness among all workers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction safety or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Certification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP) is a plus.
