Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Salad Maker to prepare and present a variety of fresh, vibrant, and culturally relevant salads for our buffet spread. The ideal candidate should have experience in food preparation, a strong sense of hygiene, and an eye for presentation that complements LalQila’s premium dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of salads including traditional South Asian styles (kachumber, raita, chana chaat) and international options (garden salad, coleslaw, pasta salad)
• Wash, cut, and organize vegetables, fruits, and garnishes with precision
• Ensure freshness, portion control, and buffet replenishment during service hours
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the prep area
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to align salad offerings with the daily buffet menu
• Assist in developing seasonal and festive salad variations
• Monitor inventory and report low stock of salad ingredients
• Comply with Dubai Municipality food safety and hygiene regulations

Requirements

• Male candidate with prior experience in food prep or salad-making (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Familiarity with South Asian and international salad styles
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of food hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced buffet kitchen
• Fluent in Hindi and Urdu; basic English preferred for team coordination
• Legal eligibility to work in the UAE (valid visa or sponsor-ready)
• Physically fit and able to handle long shifts
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and festive seasons
