Sales Account Manager

Job Description

Responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving business growth through strategic account management, identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences while consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets002E

Job Responsibility:

  • Review assigned accounts covering client history, contracts, active projects, revenue, and open issues to establish full account visibility.
  • Execute structured handovers with previous account owners and internal teams to ensure continuity of information, actions, and client expectations.
  • Classify accounts by risk level, growth potential, and strategic value to prioritize retention and expansion efforts.
  • Build and implement tailored account strategies focused on sustainable revenue growth and long-term client objectives.
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with client stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Track financial performance, delivery status, and commercial trends, providing insights to support strategic planning and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with internal sales, operations, finance, and technical teams to ensure coordinated execution and consistent service quality.
  • Drive business expansion through structured upselling, cross-selling, and solution positioning aligned with client demands.
  • Maintain accurate records of client engagements, account actions, and growth plans within a centralized CRM or reporting system.

Evaluate account management and sales workflows, introducing process enhancements to improve efficiency, service quality, and results

Lead, develop, and performance-manage the sales team while personally owning strategic accounts and executing full-cycle technical sales in a sales engineer capacity to deliver sustained growth

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Monitor the performance of Sales Engineers if required and assess their performance

Proven track record (7-10 years) in sales, account management, or business development within a technical or engineering-focused industry.
Demonstrated experience managing key accounts, preparing technical proposals, and delivering product or solution presentations to clients.
Experience in solution-oriented or project-based sales is highly desirable

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related fields)
