Sales Account Manager – Texas Market

Role Summary

The Account Manager for the Texas market is responsible for owning, retaining, and expanding all client relationships within the region. This role is focused on deepening partnerships, driving recurring revenue, and ensuring long-term account success through structured systems and consistent follow-up.

Core Responsibilities

1. Account Ownership & Retention

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all accounts in Texas.
  • Field cases generated on account label
  • Help strategize structured account plans for top clients, ensuring engagement at multiple levels (executive sponsors, daily users, financial stakeholders).

2. Expansion & Growth

  • Identify upsell opportunities (expanded services, new locations, add-on programs).
  • Use a repeatable expansion playbook to increase revenue per account by X% year over year.
  • Leverage “land and expand” strategies—start small, grow relationships into statewide partnerships.

3. Predictable Pipeline Development

  • Maintain a consistent cadence of outreach to dormant or low-activity accounts.
  • Build and execute campaigns for referrals from satisfied clients.
  • Run and coordinate account retention activities

4. Customer Success & Experience

  • Ensure Texas clients receive exceptional service delivery and rapid issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular reviews with top accounts.
  • Gather client feedback to influence product/service improvements.

5. Internal Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service excellence.
  • Share market intelligence (competitor activity, industry shifts, client needs) with leadership.
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership to align account strategy with company revenue goals.

Key Metrics (KPIs)

  • Net Revenue Retention (NRR).
  • Account churn rate.
  • Upsell / cross-sell revenue growth.
  • Ensure Customer satisfaction.
  • Referral and testimonial generation from existing clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong relationship-builder with proven account management experience in B2B services.
  • Sales or account management experience
  • Experience managing a territory (preferably Texas or multi-state region).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills—able to juggle multiple accounts and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing CRM software
  • Data-driven, disciplined, and process-oriented mindset.
  • Must be available for travel, weekly drop ins as well as industry shows and events
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations.
  • Emails, telephone calls, scheduling, and outreach will be key activities in this position as well
