Job Summary:

The Sales Analyst will support our sales organization by providing insightful analytics, actionable recommendations, and impactful reporting to drive category growth and business success. You will work closely with the Customer Account Managers (CAMs) and stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven strategies and ensure our teams meet annual sales and commercial spending targets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on using sophisticated data models to uncover opportunities and deliver results.

Responsibilities:

Category Strategy:

  • Deliver insights to drive business decisions and develop strategies for sustained category growth
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the category and market landscape
  • Provide proactive, actionable insights to meet business needs and identify growth opportunities
  • Develop and present clear recommendations based on key insights and analysis
  • Conduct root cause analysis and evaluate implications for retail or category challenges
  • Perform post-initiative analysis and benchmarking to assess performance and identify improvement areas
  • Utilize internal and retail POS data to inform business planning with fact-based insights

Reporting & Analysis Strategy:

  • Analyze retail value and support forecast accuracy, sales performance targets, and segmentation/resource allocation
  • Apply standardized reporting tools to address team needs and support ad hoc data requests
  • Act as the point of contact for analytical tools and resources for CAMs and CDMs
  • Facilitate training and deployment of analytical resources to optimize utilization
  • Identify and communicate business trends and ensure data outputs align with business goals

Comply with all company policies and procedures, demonstrating a strong commitment to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in support of product integrity, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • CPG retail experience preferred
  • Experience with syndicated data and shopper data IRI, Nielson or other
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • In-depth understanding of sales fundamentals and processes
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Up to 5% travel

Location: Onsite-Lincon, CA

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Range: $75,660-$94,575 annually
