SUMMARY
The Sales Analyst will manage and support day to day functions of the Sales Team with an emphasis on our National Account Manager (NAM) team. This role will own responsibilities focusing mostly on new item submissions, pricing submissions for national chains, competitive benchmarking and analysis, managing the e-commerce assets for chains, and more. The perfect candidate has a passion for digging into the details, is comfortable collaborating with resources outside of the company as needed to be successful on multiple platforms and is able to take the lead on projects with minimal supervision. The preferred candidate will reside in, or be willing to relocate, to Kansas City.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect data on pricing, distribution, volume and general market information; compile and submit reports required for the Sales Team
- Compile new item submission information and translate on National Accounts forms
- Collect National pricing and compile pricing submissions forms
- Analyze Nielsen Data and develop selling stories and insights into each segment in which we compete
- Generate comprehensive win, loss, and new opportunity reports to support strategic decision-making
- Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and factors contributing to successful outcomes
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the NAM team
- Conduct analysis, develop paperwork and presentations that supports the NAM team initiatives with their respective chains
- Help track execution against specific chain programming and limited release commitments
- Manage e-commerce platforms, maintaining impactful DUSA e-comm brand presence in chains, including images, descriptions and other “scorecarded” metrics
- Manage sales team CRM, Lilypad
- Knowledge of Nielsen Data / Cicana / Other retail scan data preferred
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance or Related Fields, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience working in finance, analytics, forecasting or analysis-based roles; 3-5+ years experience preferred
- Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
- Strong work ethic; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
- An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality; strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results
- Strong attention to detail, written and oral communication skills
