Sales Support

  • Prepare and manage sales documentation, including client quotes, proposals, supplier quotations, and sales orders in ERP.
  • Maintain and update customer databases and CRM systems.
  • Coordinate sales meetings and presentations.
  • Respond to or escalate customer complaints and provide after-sales support when required.
  • Conduct market and industry research.
  • Generate new sales through prospecting and lead follow-up.
  • Be willing and able to travel as required, conduct door-to-door sales meetings primarily across Africa and additionally in other regions as per management instructions.

Client Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Schedule and organize client meetings, follow-ups, and communications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and address their concerns promptly.
  • Educate customers on products and services.
  • Monitor competitor activities.
  • Maintain records of sales leads.

Order Processing

  • Process and track sales orders from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to ensure accurate billing and delivery.
  • Monitor and report sales order status and performance.
  • Update sales transactions, purchase orders, and client details in the ERP system.

Sales Analysis and Reporting

  • Generate and analyze sales reports, metrics, and forecasts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Assist in preparing sales presentations and management reports.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Facilitate communication between the sales team and other departments (marketing, finance, product development, etc.).
  • Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies and campaigns.

General Administrative Duties

  • Handle correspondence, phone calls, and emails related to sales inquiries.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for sales documents.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager.
  • Become fully familiar with all products and services through testing, demonstrations, and research.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in inside sales and ERP systems - Mandatory
  • Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Engineering background preferred.
