The Van Sales Assistant supports the Van Salesman/Driver in delivering FMCG products to retail outlets, ensuring timely distribution, proper merchandising, and excellent customer service. The role involves assisting with loading/unloading goods, handling invoices, and maintaining product availability at customer locations.
- Assist the van salesman in daily route operations and deliveries to assigned customers
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently from the vehicle
- Ensure accurate checking of stock against invoices during delivery
- Help in collecting payments (cash or cheque) and maintaining proper records
- Support in merchandising products on shelves as per company standards (FIFO, display, visibility)
- Build and maintain good relationships with customers (retail shops, supermarkets, etc.)
- Report stock shortages, damages, or customer feedback to the van salesman or supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
- Assist in route planning and ensure timely completion of daily schedules
- Follow company policies, safety standards, and hygiene practices
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in FMCG, delivery, or sales support is an advantage
- Physically fit (ability to lift and move goods)
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Familiarity with local routes is a plu
Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
