Sales Associate – New Business Development (Web Design & Digital Marketing)

Position Summary

We seek a full-time, proactive, results-driven Sales Associate who will generate new business through outbound outreach. This role will focus on identifying prospects, initiating contact, and securing new client relationships for website design and digital marketing services.

The Sales Associate will collaborate with our Business Development Manager, who manages inbound leads and referral relationships. At the same time, you focus on building new outbound pipelines and closing deals from cold or lukewarm leads.

MRN Web Designs is a woman-owned web design and digital marketing firm based in Cary, NC. We help nonprofits, financial institutions, and small-to-midsize businesses grow with powerful websites, SEO strategies, Google Map Pack visibility, and digital marketing services. We are known for our collaborative approach, high-quality work, and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective clients that would benefit from our services (web design, maintenance, SEO, digital marketing)
  • Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, networking, and local events
  • Develop and nurture a personal sales pipeline to hit monthly revenue goals
  • Qualify prospects and set appointments for consultations or proposal discussions
  • Present services and capabilities confidently to decision-makers
  • Work closely with Christine on warm inbound opportunities and assist in proposal follow-ups as needed
  • Maintain accurate lead and opportunity records in our CRM
  • Coordinate with internal teams to scope, quote, and hand off new projects

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ yearsof experience in B2B sales (ideally in web design, creative services, digital marketing, SaaS, or agency settings)
  • Demonstrated success with cold outreach and closing new business
  • Comfortable speaking with business owners, nonprofit leaders, and marketing directors
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to write blogs and create engaging email campaigns
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (SalesForce, ZoomInfo, etc) and digital platforms

Compensation

  • Base salary with commission opportunities, aligned with skills and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
