Job Title: Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and managing key client relationships to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across Air and Ocean Freight (Export, Import & Cross Trade).
- Promote company services including:
- Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL)
- Air Freight (Export, Import, Cross Trade)
- Warehousing & Distribution
- Customs Clearance & Transportation
- Break Bulk / ODC shipments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat and referral business.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation and contract closure.
- Work closely with the operations and pricing teams to prepare competitive proposals and ensure service excellence.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to develop effective business strategies.
- Ensure timely rate renewals, follow-up for collections, and ongoing account management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales (Air & Sea).
- Existing customer base and network within the logistics or freight forwarding market.
- Strong understanding of international trade, customs procedures, and freight operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Valid driving license and own vehicle are required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
