Sales Consultant

Job Purpose

The Sales Consultant manages the entire sales process, from prospecting to post-sales follow-up, ensuring full compliance with company policies They achieve sales and product targets, assist customers with financing and insurance options, and deliver exceptional customer service to build long-term relationships By meeting customer expectations and maintaining high satisfaction levels, the Sales Consultant drives sales growth and contributes to a positive customer experience

Key Responsibilities

Sales / Sales Process

  • Follow all steps of the sales process, including prospecting, meeting and greeting, consultation, presentation, demonstration, negotiation, gaining commitment, closure, delivery, and post-sales follow-up

  • Ensure that all documentation is completed in accordance with company policy

  • Liaise closely with other departments to ensure a smooth sales process

  • Report daily activities to the Sales Supervisor/Manager

  • Achieve sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while maximising profit from each transaction

  • Close maximum opportunities while maintaining and expanding the existing customer base

  • Assist customers with finance and insurance products according to their requirements

  • Achieve targets for Accessories, In-house Insurance, and GAP Insurance

  • Create productive sales process-related videos for customers and meet Venta Vid targets

  • Achieve targets set by internal and external Mystery Shopping programmes

  • Follow up with customers in a timely manner

  • Participate in sales meetings

  • Achieve all KPIs set by management

Customer Experience

  • Meet and exceed customer expectations

  • Schedule follow-ups, deliveries, and new customer acquisition efficiently, utilising strong time management skills

  • Assist customers in choosing the correct vehicle and build loyalty by providing a personalised and tailored sales experience

  • Achieve SSI (Sales Satisfaction Index) targets through excellent customer service

  • Ensure accurate collection and submission of customer details

  • Build, grow, and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Ensure smooth, clean, and defect-free delivery of sold vehicles

  • Perform other related tasks as required

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field

Work Experience

  • 2–3 years of sales experience in the automotive or a related industry
