Role Purpose:
To lead a team of Sales Supervisors, Salesmen, Merchandising Supervisors, and Merchandisers to effectively achieve the sales and profitability targets/KPIs in accordance with company policies, procedures, and systems in the respective geographic area.
To maintain strong relationships with customers (both internal and external) in an effort to ensure accelerated growth while maximizing market opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
Budgeting
-
Prepare and recommend the sales branch budget by conducting analysis and preparing data related to specific elements as directed and in alignment with the line manager.

Monitor the financial performance of the sales branch against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Sales Operations
-
Manage the daily operations of the sales branch section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.

Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.

Develop effective customer relationships to ensure company growth.

Review sales routes to increase profitability, including making and executing daily journey plans for the sales force to plan customer routes efficiently in cooperation with respective Sales Supervisors.

Follow up on chillers’ profitability with Supervisors and ensure locations are changed if needed.
-
Book competitive locations inside stores to enable sales growth.
-
Generate sales leads by adding new customers or opening new sales routes.
-
Follow up on competition activities and provide suggestions to take necessary measures.
-
Ensure that all rents are positively impacting company investments.
-
Ensure all customer databases are accurately updated, including all registered customers, assigned barcodes for each customer, and chillers registered per type and classification.

Cascade all sales plans and initiatives to all team members accurately and smoothly.
-
Ensure wastage control is exercised as per company policies and maintained within target levels, ensuring product freshness for customers and consumers.

Execute the approved payment and credit policies and ensure timely collections within company guidelines.

Apply quality management (van coolers, store chillers’ temperature) and recall damaged products from shops, reporting them to Sales Management.

Safeguard company assets such as vans, fridges, buildings, crates, HHT, and cars.

Maintain knowledge of sales and distribution channels and competitor activities throughout the area and discuss findings with the line manager for appropriate actions.

Execute agreements with Key Accounts according to instructions and maintain good business relations with representatives of both national and regional Key Accounts.

Ensure execution of merchandising at the point of sale, in line with policies and instructions, to influence shopper choice in favor of ASD products.
People Management
-
Manage the activities and work of subordinates and evaluate their performance by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within the area is carried out efficiently and in accordance with set individual targets.

Stimulate subordinates and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking into account international best practices, process improvements, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.

Monitor, guide, and motivate subordinates in their performance to realize sales targets, including direct control and effective management of a van sales operation to achieve both sales and expense targets.
Policies, Processes & Procedures

Recommend enhancements and improvements to departmental policies.

Direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of sales branch activity to ensure all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality and cost-effective services.

Ensure information is accurately and promptly entered into systems.

Ensure and monitor quality control of sales processes and the use of OPTSAL in line with company standards and regulations, including training and coaching of sales employees in the effective use of the tool.
Safety, Quality & Environment

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the section to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.

Ensure all safety aspects are strictly followed by the team, with a zero-violation policy clearly applied.

Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the branch, ensuring adherence by all members to residential and basic requirements, employee uniforms, safety shoes, and van maintenance standards.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma
in
Business Administration, Marketing,
or a related field.
-
5–8 years of proven experience
in sales, including at least
2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
.

Previous experience in the
FMCG, dairy, or food & beverage industry
is
strongly preferred
.
-
Hands-on expertise with
SAP
and other
ERP systems
related to sales, inventory, and performance reporting.

Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
-
Exceptional
analytical and numerical skills
