Sales Consultant

What you Bring:

WALKER FURNITURE is an established business, being family owned and operated for over 80 years in Gainesville, Florida. At our store, we emphasize the customer's shopping experience in order to create repeat customers and unforgettable interactions. Our showroom features over 15 manufacturer brands and offers options ranging from mid to high-end pieces. We are eager to add new talented sales associates to our team who will aid in creating a memorable moment for our customers. From greeting them as they walk in, to showing them the brands and explaining cover/customization options, you will play a pivotal role in the shopping process. We aim to go beyond simply selling furniture, our goal is to revitalize a space in offering accessories, rugs, and art to transform a house into a home.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Two years experience in customer service
• Two years experience in sales
• Free to work on Saturdays
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Aid in office cleanliness and maintaining the showroom (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, etc)
• Proficient in Word and Excell
• Able to communicate effectively and respectfully with people from all backgrounds and cultures
• Can multitask and juggle work with multiple customers and answering the phone simulatively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in interior design
• Previous furniture sales experience
• Ability to upsell customers
• Willingness to do house calls

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
