Sturm Heating and Air Conditioning is hiring a Residential HVAC Salesman
Department: Residential
Reports to: General Manager
Years of Experience: 3- years sales experience and 3-years installation experience (Not
Required)
Classification: Sales
Work Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch. Evenings and weekends as needed.
Pay Scale: Commission Based $150,000.00 plus. No Cap
Primary Job Function: Design, sell, and manage the complete installation of residential HVAC
Systems.
Required Qualifications:
 3-years of residential HVAC installation
experience (Preferred)
 3-years of in-home sales experience
(Preferred)
 Knowledge of residential HVAC design
 Computer skills and mobile estimating
skills
 Basic math and measurement skills
 Ability to pass background check
 Understanding of Washington State
Energy code and provisions.
 Ability to identify and resolve installation
issues.
 Self-motivated
 Strong Communication and listening skills
 Load Calculation (Manual J Basics)
 Ability to work evenings and weekends if
required.
Required Licenses:
 Driver License
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
 Provide knowledgeable and ethical HVAC
replacement pricing to customers.
 Respond and schedule in-home
residential sales leads.
 Follow up on all sales leads and project
quotes.
 Become proficient in the AI sales tool
RILLA and utilize it to its full capabilities.
(will train)
 Ability to use Sales Builder pro as
estimating tool. (will train)
 Manage and support installation crews.
 Clear and precise communication with
install manager and install crews.
 Complete all pre-installation documents to
include complete material pull sheets
 Perform proper load calculations for
heating and cooling.
 Present Good, Better, best quoting
options.
 Present Finance options on all projects.
 Perform post Construction follow ups with
customer.
