Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Retail Furniture Sales & Design Consultant to join our team. This role blends sales expertise with interior design guidance, helping customers select furniture, finishes, and layouts that fit their lifestyle, budget, and aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide an exceptional, personalized shopping experience
• Assist clients with furniture selection, space planning, and design recommendations
• Build room layouts and visual presentations using floor plans, samples, and digital tools
• Educate customers on product features, materials, customization options, warranties, and delivery timelines
• Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships
• Process sales transactions, quotes, and special orders accurately
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with other team members, including designers and operations staff, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Maintain showroom appearance and update displays according to merchandising standards
• Physical requirements such as extended periods of standing may be required

Preferred Skills

• Furniture Retail Sales experience
• Interior design education/experience or certification
• Experience with custom furniture, upholstery, or space planning
• Knowledge of current design trends and materials

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience (furniture or interior design preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for sales, interior design, furniture, and home décor
• Ability to visualize spaces and suggest cohesive design solutions
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-focused
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays with additional weekday off
