Sales Consultant – Fireplaces, Grills & Shade Structures

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Sales Consultant specializing in Fireplaces, Grills, and Shade Structures to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the key driver of high-end sales, providing expert guidance to customers seeking premium outdoor living solutions. Your enthusiasm for outdoor design, renovation, and construction will help customers bring their visions to life. You will leverage your strong communication skills and product knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service, promote upselling opportunities, and manage inside and outside sales activities. Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in-store, phone, and on-site to understand their needs for fireplaces, grills, shade structures, and related outdoor living products.
• Conduct sales & product demonstrations, and provide expert advice on renovation and remodeling projects.
• Assist customers with sales transactions, including POS operations credit card and cash handling.
• Develop strong account management relationships through effective communication and personalized service and follow up.
• Coordinate with clients on project timelines, installation requirements, and maintenance plans; support clients through the entire sales process from initial consultation to final delivery.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure proper stock levels, attractive displays, and effective marketing of high-end outdoor products.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and product demos while ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
• Utilize organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in sales within retail or specialty product environments such as renovation or construction industries.
• Computer skills should be proficient with Word, Excel, Internet tools and able to learn our systems quickly.
• Familiarity with layout design tools like SketchUp or CAD software is highly desirable; knowledge of design enhances your ability to serve clients effectively.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful upselling in high-end sales settings.
• Experience working with remodeling projects or interior design concepts is a plus; understanding of construction processes helps tailor solutions for clients’ outdoor spaces.
• Multilingual abilities are beneficial for engaging diverse customer bases; excellent communication skills are essential for building lasting relationships.
• Knowledge of retail operations including POS systems, merchandising strategies, and retail math ensures smooth transactions and inventory management.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
