Sales Coordinator - Data / GIS / AI-Savvy High-Tech Mapping / Robotics Ecosystem Location: Livonia, MI (on-site) Salary: Around $75,000 base (salary only)
I'm recruiting for a small but highly specialised mapping/data company that builds ultra-precise digital representations of the physical world. Their data underpins advanced driver assistance, autonomous vehicles, robotics and digital-twin applications.
We're hiring a Sales Coordinator with a data / GIS / AI-savvy profile who can be the analytical and operational engine behind the sales and marketing team.
The Role
Title: Sales Coordinator Type: Full-time, permanent Location: Livonia, MI (on-site, not remote) Comp: Approx. $75,000/year base (no fringe included in this number)
You will:
-
Own day-to-day Salesforce usage: data hygiene, pipeline updates, reports and dashboards
-
Work closely with sales leadership and account directors on sales planning, forecasting and reporting
-
Use ArcGIS / Esri outputs to help build clear, compelling sales and marketing collateral (maps, visuals, simple videos)
-
Support prospecting, proposals and follow-ups with clean data, research and well-structured material
-
Introduce and embed AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot) into workflows for drafting, research and routine automation
-
Document and continuously improve processes - think Kaizen / 5S-style: standardise, simplify, and remove waste from how work gets done
This is a lean, high-expectation environment. There is not a long training runway: you'll be expected to figure things out, bring structure, and keep improving how the commercial team operates.
Ideal Profile
Education / background
-
Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Information Science, Communications, GIS or similar
-
Strong plus if your degree or work experience includes GIS and ArcGIS / Esri
You should bring:
-
Hands-on Salesforce experience (heavy user, power user or junior admin exposure)
-
Working familiarity with ArcGIS / Esri - able to generate usable map-based outputs, not just view them
-
Comfort using AI tools in a professional context - drafting content, summarising information, doing first-pass research, basic workflow automation
-
Strong process mindset: you naturally look for better ways of working, and you like documenting and standardising them
-
Excellent written English - concise, correct, and suitable for both customers and internal stakeholders (you'll touch contracts/T&Cs and marketing language)
-
Solid skills in Excel, PowerPoint and general office tools
Personality / style:
-
Curious, analytical and commercially aware - you like understanding how the numbers drive outcomes
-
Comfortable working with limited hand-holding; you proactively learn tools and systems
-
Organised and detail-oriented - data quality and clean processes matter to you
Why This Role?
-
You'll sit at the intersection of data, GIS, AI and sales in a company working on the infrastructure that will underpin autonomous vehicles and robots
-
Direct exposure to senior sales leadership and real deals - not a back-office silo
-
Chance to build and shape processes, not just follow them
-
Strong platform for future careers in sales operations, product marketing, data-driven commercial roles or GIS-enabled business roles
