Role Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for outbound
prospecting and inbound lead qualification. This role is the front line
of the sales funnel and focuses on starting conversations with potential
customers and booking qualified meetings for Account Executives.
SDRs do not close deals — they create opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify potential customers that fit the ideal customer
profile
Reach out via LinkedIn, email, phone, and other outbound channels
Respond to inbound leads and qualify interest
Ask discovery questions to understand pain points and needs
Book qualified discovery calls for Account Executives
Maintain accurate notes and activity in the CRM
Follow structured outreach sequences and scripts
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Number of qualified meetings booked
Lead response time
Conversion rate from contact → meeting
Data accuracy in CRM
