Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About Penny: Penny is building the ultimate procurement and sourcing platform, one that enables organizations to issue tenders, discover suppliers, and manage purchases faster, more efficiently, and cost-effectively. As we expand across the GCC, were looking for high-impact leaders to help us scale our sales organization and customer reach.

Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) with at least 1-2 years of experience in SaaS or technology sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating qualified opportunities by identifying, prospecting, and engaging potential clients. This role requires a proactive and ambitious individual who can effectively communicate Pennys value proposition, spark initial interest, and book discovery meetings that move prospects into the sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities - SDR

  • Research and prospect target accounts across the GCC market to generate new leads.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities against ICP (Ideal Customer Profile), and determine fit to book discovery meetings for the sales team.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline generation targets.
  • Conduct outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to engage decision-makers.
  • Clearly communicate Pennys value proposition to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and the sales leadership team to execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Work with Marketing to design and run outbound campaigns (e.g. sequences by industry or role).
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities, lead status, and pipeline health using CRM tools.
  • Stay informed about procurement technology trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments.
  • Represent Penny at industry events and networking opportunities when required.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in B2B sales or sales development, preferably in SaaS or technology solutions.
  • Proven track record of pipeline generation through cold outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) and consistently meeting or exceeding meeting-booked targets.
  • Comfortable with high-volume prospecting and building pipeline independently.
  • Strong ability to research, segment, and target accounts across industries.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM & prospecting tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Lusha, Sales Navigator etc.).
  • Experience working in the GCC market is highly desirable.
  • Arabic fluency and business-level English.
  • Based in Riyadh, with willingness to travel within the GCC.
