Sales Development Specialist

JOB PURPOSE

The Business Analyst will be a key member of the Sales team, responsible for translating complex sales data into actionable insights. You will be instrumental in driving sales strategy, enhancing performance, and improving forecasting accuracy through comprehensive analysis, reporting, and the creation of compelling presentations. This role is part of the Sales Development team within the Sales department, focusing on using data-driven decision-making to achieve our commercial goals.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer data to identify opportunities and risks, preparing regular reports and strategic recommendations for the sales team.

-Develop, manage, and optimize dashboards and reports using our business intelligence tool, Looker, to provide clear visibility on KPIs.

-Provide backup support to the Sales Development team with their responsibilities in pricing and allocation management as needed, ensuring coordination with the Trade and Space teams in London RHQ.

-Serve as the analytical focal point for all sales forecasting activities, working to improve accuracy by analyzing historical data and market intelligence.

-Prepare and deliver insightful presentations for sales meetings and management reviews, effectively communicating complex findings and strategic proposals..

-Provide critical analytical support to the Head of Sales in the preparation of strategic decisions such as Game Plans,Country Goal Management, and Sales Plans, and monitor performance against these plans.

-Conduct ad-hoc analysis and support the Head of Sales and Sales Team on special projects as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidate should have:

-A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Logistics, Statistics, or a related field.

-A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the shipping industry.

-An excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.

-Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

-As our company work with Google Workspace, expertise in its applications is highly preferred. However, proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite will also be strongly considered.

-Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools; specific experience with Looker Studio is highly advantageous.

-Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

-A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

-The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
