Sales Director (Remote)

Role Overview

The Sales Director will own all revenue functions building, managing, and scaling the sales organization to achieve aggressive ARR targets. This role combines strategic leadership with operational execution, requiring mastery of enterprise sales cycles, B2B SaaS metrics, and channel development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Upscend's global sales strategy across direct, channel, and reseller motions.
  • Build, train, and lead SDRs​, and AEs​.
  • Design and manage sales playbooks, funnels, and performance dashboards (CAC, LTV, MRR, win rate).
  • Oversee pipeline forecasting, pricing strategy, and quota setting.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with corporate training providers and L&D platforms.
  • Align closely with marketing, product, and RevOps to optimize conversion efficiency and retention.
  • Present quarterly revenue performance to executive leadership.
  • Negotiate enterprise contracts and renewals with legal and compliance teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years in B2B SaaS sales; at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in exceeding ARR/MRR targets and scaling teams from early-stage to growth.
  • Deep understanding of L&D, HR tech, or compliance SaaS markets.
  • Proficiency in CRM and pipeline tools (Zoho specifically).
  • Strong analytical and financial literacy-able to model LTV/CAC, churn, and growth projections.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable in high-velocity, metrics-driven environments.

Preferred

  • Experience with multi-regional sales teams (UK, MENA, LATAM).
  • Exposure to channel sales or reseller ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with compliance-driven or LMS products.
