Sales Engineer

Job Purpose:

A Sales Engineer plays a critical role in combining technical knowledge with sales skills to provide solutions and create value for customers

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular visits to existing clients and prospective customers to build strong relationships and identify new sales opportunities
• Continuously monitor and update knowledge of competitor products, services, and market conditions to stay competitive
• Assess customer requirements on a regular basis, offering tailored product and service recommendations to meet their needs
• Prepare and present price quotes, negotiate terms, revise contracts, and discuss mechanical specifications with customers
• Provide regular reports to sales management on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback
• Maintain accurate records of business expenses and submit timely reports as required
• Assist with tendering processes, including background research on contracting and mechanical specifications
• Ensure customer satisfaction by following up after sales to resolve issues and reinforce long-term relationships

Job Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

Abilities:

·Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving markets, and adjust sales strategies as needed

• Self-Motivation: Strong drive to achieve sales targets and independently seek out new opportunities
• Resilience & Persistence: Ability to handle rejection or setbacks and continue pursuing sales goals with a positive attitude

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a must
• 0-3 years of experience
