The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth by combining technical knowledge with strong sales skills. This role focuses on understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable products/solutions, preparing proposals, and closing deals while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned markets and sectors.
- Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing deals.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Technical Expertise
- Understand product specifications, technical drawings, and solution applications.
- Provide technical guidance to customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, or suppliers for technical clarifications.
- Recommend suitable solutions based on client needs and project requirements.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Provide timely responses to inquiries, tenders, and project requests.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
- Ensure excellent post-sales support in coordination with relevant teams.
Documentation & Coordination
- Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, and market analysis.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and client communication logs.
- Coordinate with internal departments for project execution, delivery, and invoicing.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of products/services relevant to the industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into solutions.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience in CRM/ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Customer-focused with a proactive attitude.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or relevant field).
- 1–5 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales (UAE experience preferred).
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
- Strong background in sales, project coordination, or technical product sales.
Working Conditions
- Office and field-based role.
- Travel to client sites as required.
- Must be flexible with working hours based on project/job requirements.
