The Sales Engineer is responsible for technical sales, business development, and key account management for a wide range of infrastructure and industrial rubber products across Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong engineering knowledge, proven project-based sales experience, and the ability to promote standard and custom rubber solutions to contractors, consultants, OEMs, and industrial clients.
The product portfolio includes rubber test plugs, pipe clamps, rubber rings, wall grips, custom ladder feet, CV boots, and other auxiliary molded rubber components used in infrastructure, construction, utilities, and mechanical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share for industrial and infrastructure rubber products in KSA.
- Identify and pursue opportunities with EPC contractors, infrastructure developers, OEMs, utilities, industrial plants, and government entities.
- Promote and sell products including:
- Rubber Test Plugs
- Pipe Clamps & Support Rubbers
- Rubber Rings, Seals & Gaskets
- Wall Grips & Penetration Seals
- Custom Ladder Feet & Safety Rubber Parts
- CV Boots and auxiliary rubber components
- Achieve assigned sales targets, margins, and collection objectives.
Technical Sales & Engineering Support:
- Provide technical consultation based on project drawings, BOQs, and site conditions.
- Recommend suitable rubber compounds and designs according to application, environment, and standards.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and production teams for custom-molded rubber solutions.
- Prepare technical submittals, datasheets, compliance documents, and samples for client approvals.
- Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
Project & Client Management:
- Manage sales from specification stage through order closure and delivery.
- Build long-term relationships with consultants, project managers, procurement teams, and maintenance engineers.
- Follow up on quotations, approvals, deliveries, and payments in coordination with internal teams.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer records using CRM tools.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and pricing strategies in Saudi Arabia.
- Identify upcoming infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 4–7 years of experience in technical B2B sales within infrastructure, construction, industrial, or OEM markets.
- Strong experience in selling rubber products, industrial components, mechanical accessories, or sealing solutions.
- Proven exposure to Saudi Arabia market and project-based sales is mandatory.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of infrastructure systems, mechanical joints, pipelines, drainage systems, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Knowledge of rubber materials (EPDM, NBR, Neoprene, etc.) and their applications.
- Experience with customized product sales and engineering coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office; CRM/ERP knowledge is an advantage.
Language & Mobility:
- English: Fluent.
- Arabic: Conversational.
- Valid Saudi driving license and willingness to travel extensively within KSA.
