Sales Engineer – IDEC Corporation DBA APEM, supporting APEM BU

About the Company

IDEC Corporation / dba APEM, a global leader in Human‐machine interface (HMI) devices is searching for an energetic and driven, Sales Engineer professional to support and develop the APEM business unit to reach the organization's goals and objectives.

Position Overview

As a key member of the APEM business unit Sales team, the Sales Engineer will meet goals and objectives to accelerate growth across key markets. This role is fully focused on identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities (NBO’s), while also expanding strategic relationships within existing accounts.

The ideal candidate is a "natural hunter" with a passion for prospecting, relationship-building, and closing new business. You thrive on the challenge of opening doors, initiating conversations, and driving opportunities from first contact to signed deal. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will collaborate closely with Regional Sales Managers and authorized distribution partners to execute a cohesive growth strategy.

This is a pure “hunter” role designed for individuals who are energized by opportunity creation, competitive pursuit, and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

· A Flexible, Driven, Independent, Hunter

· Help identify and research potential leads within APEM’s target market industries.

· Conduct cold calls and emails to the extent needed to get penetration to target accounts.

· Strong technical aptitude for mechanical/electromechanical products.

· Hold face to face and Teams meetings with potential customers.

  • Support proposal development, presentations, and customer communications.
  • Maintain CRM records and track business development activities.
  • Work closely with Regional Managers for business development, revenue generation and account tracking.
  • In conjunction with regional teams, create and execute territory strategy.

· Travel within the territory approximately 50%

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree

· Minimum 2 years of direct (B2B) sales experience

· Strong communication skills; interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation

· Must have a proven track record of closing new business

Excellent organization and time management skills

· Experience working with distributors.

· Must have excellent project management skills and be detailed oriented.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
