Sales Engineer – Facilities, Maintenance & Site Supervision

Job Summary

We are hiring a Sales Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, and site supervision. This role is not desk-only sales. The candidate must be technically strong, capable of evaluating on-site work conditions, developing accurate technical solutions, preparing competitive quotations, and managing execution through effective team supervision and client communication.

If someone is strong in sales but weak technically, they are not a fit. If someone is technical but cannot communicate clearly with clients, they are not a fit.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Site Evaluation

  • Conduct detailed site inspections and technical evaluations for facilities, maintenance, and engineering-related works.
  • Identify scope, risks, materials, manpower, and execution challenges before proposal submission.
  • Ensure all technical solutions comply with project requirements, standards, and safety regulations.

Sales & Client Interaction

  • Act as the technical point of contact for clients during pre-sales and post-award phases.
  • Understand client needs and convert them into practical, cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, BOQs, and quotations with clear justifications.
  • Support negotiations with technical clarity, not sales fluff.

Quotation & Proposal Development

  • Prepare accurate cost estimations and quotations based on site conditions, materials, labor, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure pricing accuracy and feasibility.
  • Ensure quotations are technically sound, competitive, and executable.

Supervision & Execution

  • Supervise and guide site teams during project implementation and execution.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
  • Monitor quality, productivity, and safety compliance on-site.
  • Resolve technical issues quickly without escalating every problem upward.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide regular progress updates and technical reports to management and clients.
  • Support project handover, completion, and client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in facilities management, maintenance, or engineering services.
  • Proven experience in site supervision, technical evaluation, and quotation preparation.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance systems, facility operations, and execution workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

What This Role Is NOT

  • Not a pure sales role with zero site involvement.
  • Not a junior engineering position.
  • Not suitable for candidates who rely on others to do technical thinking for them.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
