Sales Engineer
Job Summary:
A Sales Engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills to promote and sell engineering products or services. The role involves understanding client requirements, providing technical solutions, preparing quotations, and maintaining strong customer relationships to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Meet clients, consultants, and contractors to understand project requirements
- Prepare and present technical proposals and product solutions
- Generate quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, and submitted proposals
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with clients
- Coordinate with design, estimation, and production teams
- Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Achieve sales targets and prepare regular sales reports
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge related to the industry (e.g., construction, aluminum & glass, steel, HVAC, etc.)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Sales and customer-handling skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
- UAE driving license is often preferred
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field)
- 1–4 years of experience in technical sales or engineering field
- Fresh graduates with strong communication skills may be considered
Work Environment:
- Combination of office work and field visits
- Frequent client meetings and site visits
