Position Overview:
The
Sales Engineer
will play a key role in driving Aquila’s commercial growth across the Dubai oil & gas landscape. This role focuses on providing technical expertise during the sales process, supporting client needs, and positioning Aquila as a trusted partner to operators, EPCs, and service providers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and commercial acumen, a solid understanding of the oil & gas and energy engineering industries, and established relationships within the Dubai energy sector. Experience with upstream, well engineering, or project execution is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Sales & Client Support

Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical solutions to clients in the oil & gas sector.

Support identification of new business opportunities by presenting engineering expertise and solution capabilities.

Assist in proposal preparation, technical documentation, and product presentations.
Market Intelligence & Strategy

Stay informed about energy industry trends, regulations, and market developments.

Provide technical input to business planning, competitor analysis, and market strategy discussions.
Client & Partner Relationship Management

Support relationship-building activities with key stakeholders, including NOCs, IOCs, EPCs, and major service providers.

Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.

Maintain a pipeline of potential technical engagements and support account management efforts.
Technical Leadership

Assist in the customization of engineering solutions to meet client requirements.

Provide technical guidance during bids, tenders, and project proposals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with commercial objectives.
Industry Representation

Represent Aquila Engineering at technical conferences, workshops, and trade shows in Dubai and internationally.

Promote the company’s technical capabilities through client engagement and industry networking.
Performance & Reporting

Track sales engineering KPIs, including technical proposal success, project support, and client engagement effectiveness.

Provide regular updates to leadership on technical sales activity and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Proven experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or sales engineering roles within the oil & gas or energy sectors.

Strong understanding of upstream operations, including well engineering, drilling, or production services.

Strong network within Dubai’s oil & gas ecosystem, including operators, EPCs, and service companies.

Demonstrated ability to support successful sales and technical proposals.

Excellent technical communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Willingness to travel within Dubai.
