Job Overview
We are seeking an individual who will work with internal resources to generate opportunities to estimate, propose, and sell design build projects, replacement solutions, and other mid-to-large projects.
Responsibilities
- Sell Design Build projects and engineer customized solutions for repair/replacement projects among existing commercial and industrial client base.
- Conduct analysis and present sales through understanding of client needs
- Follow up on all leads and provide status updates to sales and operations teams.
- Attend client meetings with other team members and participate in project meetings to ensure open and ongoing communication.
- Actively engage Sales Manager and other team members in the selling process.
- Actively participate in the estimating process and review final proposal specifications.
- Review all contracts for accuracy and completion. Submit completed contracts to appropriate staff in operations and accounting departments.
- Provide project management guidance to ensure smooth turnover transition.
- Participate in training events sponsored by the company and trade/industry associations to maintain technical expertise.
- Record all sales and prospect activity to substantiate weekly sales activity reports.
- Meet quotas and achieve annual sales goals through proactive sales strategies and effective relationship building
- TAke off all plans, specifications and bid documents necessary to quote contractors, or direct bid projects, via internet downloads, mail, email, fax, physical delivery, or by whatever means available to ensure that all necessary information is forwarded to the estimating team in a timely manner.
- Assist in development of project estimates.
- Solicit lists of bidders for prospective projects.
- Communicate with bidders prior to bid day to determine appropriate configuration of products and services to be quoted.
- If erection of product is required, solicit erection quotes from qualified sub-contractors.
- Compose formal quotes for projects bidding and for budgetary estimates based on information provided in project plans, specifications, bid documents and bidder preferences (ACM engineering department will aid with the estimate, if required).)
- Communicate with bidders before, during and after the project bids to ensure that they have our latest and most competitive quote.
- Ensure that direct bids have been properly submitted including procurement of necessary bonds, accurate completion of bid documents, obtaining required signatures, and mailing or delivering the bid in a timely manner.
- Follow up bids to determine the successful bidder as soon as possible after bid is opened.
- Contact successful bidders immediately and aggressively pursue closing the project. (Obtain executed quote and/or purchase order based on agreed selling prices, letter of intent or stipulated sales agreement as quickly as possible).
- Provide all necessary documents to process sales orders for booked projects (including cost pricing, tax status, erection responsibilities, delivery requirements and other required information).
Requirements
- 5+ years construction related experience and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering And/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong negotiating, closing, and networking skills.
- Organized and detail oriented with an ability to multi-task.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
