Sales & Events Manager (Restaurant & Catering)

About Us

BarNaan is a modern Indian restaurant with a strong cocktail program and growing reputation for hospitality. We’re now building a catering, events, and marketing department from the ground up — and we need someone who’s done it before.

This is not a coordinator role. We’re looking for a proven sales and events professional who already knows how to bring in business, can hit the ground running, and has the energy and creativity to make our restaurant come alive with both sales and marketing.

What You’ll Do

  • Sales & Outreach
  • Leverage your existing client list and network to bring in catering, group dining, and events.
  • Prospect new leads daily (calls, emails, community outreach) and convert them into revenue.
  • Track all leads and results in a CRM (you’ll be responsible for setting this up).
  • Catering & Events Development
  • Build catering/event packages and custom proposals from scratch.
  • Be on-site during events to ensure flawless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Marketing & Content
  • Run everyday marketing: keep BarNaan active and alive on social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
  • Create content in-house (iPhone, video, stories) and work with freelancers for higher-level design/photography.
  • Propose and execute promotional ideas, seasonal campaigns, and ticketed events (Valentine’s, Diwali, NYE, etc.).
  • Accountability
  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Be measured on sales booked, events secured, and clients retained.
  • Bring ideas to the table and execute them — no wasted motion.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in restaurant catering/event sales or hotel banquet sales (3–7+ years).
  • Experience building a program from scratch — not just maintaining one.
  • Existing client list/network in the area is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable balancing sales + event execution + marketing/social media.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and able to work independently.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $60k–$80k (depending on experience).
  • Commission/bonus structure tied directly to catering and event revenue.
  • Flexible hybrid schedule (mix of in-restaurant, outreach in the community, and remote work).
  • Growth opportunities as this department scales.

Job Type: Contract
