Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales & Marketing Executive to promote our range of steel products and fabricated components. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth technical knowledge of steel grades, fabrication processes, and industrial applications, combined with strong sales and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in construction, infrastructure, fabrication, and industrial sectors.
- Generate inquiries from contractors, EPC companies, and government agencies.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and distributors to ensure repeat business.
2. Technical Sales & Client Support:
- Understand client requirements, technical specifications, and application of steel products.
- Provide accurate technical guidance on product selection — including TMT bars, Structural Steel (Angles, Channels, Beams, Flats), Plates, Pipes, Nuts & Bolts, and Fabrication Items.
- Prepare and present technical & commercial proposals, product demonstrations, and site visits.
- Coordinate with the production and logistics team for order fulfillment and dispatch planning.
3. Tender & Quotation Management:
- Prepare competitive quotations, pricing sheets, and cost comparisons.
- Participate in tenders (government and private) by coordinating with the Tender Department.
- Review drawings and BOQs to ensure alignment between client needs and product supply.
4. Marketing & Branding Activities:
- Develop marketing strategies and promotional campaigns for company products.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market trend studies.
- Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
- Maintain updated product catalogues, client databases, and marketing materials.
5. Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain enquiry, quotation, and sales tracking in CRM or Excel formats.
- Submit periodic sales reports, target achievements, and client feedback.
- Coordinate with the Accounts department for payment follow-ups and collections.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong understanding of steel grades, sections, fabrication drawings, and material standards (IS/ASTM codes).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
- Familiar with industrial applications of steel in fabrication, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and e-tendering platforms.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.E./Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Metallurgical Engineering preferred; graduates with strong technical aptitude may also apply.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in sales, marketing, or business development within the steel or fabrication industry.
- Preferred Background: Structural steel, construction materials, or industrial supply segment.
