Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.


Job Description


Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance & Revenue Generation

  • Research and develop new business leads to maintain a robust sales pipeline across Turkish markets
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales revenue targets within established timelines
  • Maintain consistent weekly activity levels including prospecting calls, client meetings, and follow-ups
  • Monitor and enhance exhibitor satisfaction levels through proactive account management
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of sales results and activities

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Revenue Achievement

  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue targets for designated products and events according to the strategic sales plan
  • Drive new business acquisition through prompt, professional responses to incoming inquiries
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships across Turkey

New Business Development

  • Develop innovative revenue streams including sponsorship opportunities and non-traditional exhibition revenue sources
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify growth opportunities in Turkish markets
  • Generate qualified leads through strategic telephone outreach, industry networking, and targeted client meetings
  • Provide exceptional on-site account management to ensure superior exhibitor satisfaction

Customer Retention & Growth

  • Execute strategic account management for existing clients to maximize retention and satisfaction
  • Ensure full compliance with exhibitor satisfaction guidelines and company standards
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to develop improvement strategies and strengthen relationships
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts

Data Management & Analysis

  • Maintain accurate CRM data capture of all sales activities, calls, and client interactions
  • Complete comprehensive sales progress reports including revenue tracking, activity metrics, and pipeline analysis
  • Continuously monitor Turkish market trends using online resources and industry intelligence
  • Gather systematic customer feedback and competitive intelligence
  • Attend relevant competitor events and industry functions for market insights

Strategic Collaboration

  • Demonstrate understanding of floor plan optimization and space allocation strategies
  • Collaborate effectively with operations, marketing, and finance teams to maximize client experience
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to enhance overall event success

Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience with proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets
  • Fluency in Turkish and English (written and verbal communication)
  • Highly self-motivated with strong drive for results
  • Proficiency in business software applications (CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Numeracy skills for financial analysis and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exhibition or events industry experience
  • Knowledge of Turkish business culture and market dynamics
  • Experience with international B2B sales
  • Understanding of sponsorship and partnership development
  • Familiarity with trade show operations and logistics
