Job Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing new business opportunities within the freight forwarding, customs clearance, and logistics sectors. The role involves managing client relationships, identifying customer logistics needs, and offering tailored supply chain solutions across air, sea, and road freight. This position suits a results-driven professional with strong industry knowledge and a passion for logistics sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and logistics sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking, industry events, and lead follow-ups.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure profitable business.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall company growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate logistics solutions (air, sea, road freight, and customs clearance).
- Follow up on customer inquiries and provide timely shipment and delivery updates.
- Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, service offerings, and logistics technologies.
- Coordinate closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth service execution.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotions and lead generation.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and KPI tracking for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in freight forwarding, clearance, and logistics sales.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping (Air, Sea, Land), customs regulations, and Incoterms.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and securing new business.
- Proven track record in managing client accounts and closing deals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
