We are looking for a Sales Executive – Game Development specializing in closing deals and driving revenue growth. The role involves identifying opportunities on Upwork and other freelance platforms, drafting tailored proposals, managing the full sales cycle, negotiating terms, and closing deals to drive client acquisition and revenue growth. In addition to outbound efforts, the role also includes managing and converting inbound leads generated through ad campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and qualify game development opportunities on Upwork and other freelance platforms.
- Draft and submit persuasive, tailored proposals aligned with client requirements.Manage and convert inbound leads generated through ad campaigns to maximize client acquisition.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including prospect engagement, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Consistently achieve monthly sales targets by closing qualified deals and maintaining a strong pipeline for predictable revenue growth.
- Regularly review performance against targets with leadership and refine strategies to maximize results.
- Handle objections effectively and guide clients toward decision-making.
- Negotiate project scope, timelines, and budgets to achieve win–win outcomes.
- Provide smooth handover of closed deals to the development/production team.
- Communicate technical aspects of game development clearly to non-technical clients.
- Collaborate with developers to estimate scope and timelines and ensure feasibility.
- Translate client needs into clear, actionable briefs for the development team.
- Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Track bids, responses, and conversion metrics to optimize win rate.
- Identify and explore additional platforms to expand client acquisition channels.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience on platforms like Fiverr, Freelancer, Toptal, or LinkedIn outreach.
- Strong written English for persuasive proposals and client communication.
- Proven research, opportunity qualification, and negotiation skills.
- Specialized training or certifications in sales, digital marketing, or business development is a plus.
- Prior exposure to gaming, software development, or digital services industries is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CRM tools for tracking opportunities and leads.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Upwork bidding or freelance platform sales.
- Demonstrated success in winning contracts or qualifying leads.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with game development terms and processes.
