Our primary research lab for in-person studies is based in Chicago, and we are aiming to have deeper engagement with the Chicago and Midwest advertising ecosystem.

MediaScience delivers industry-leading research that tests advertising in real-world contexts. Our capabilities include:

  • Custom Ad Effectiveness & Context Research – Full-service research measuring attention, emotion, memory, and brand impact, while examining how platform, content, co-viewing, and audience mindset influence ad performance. Conducted in-home across CTV, mobile, and desktop, emulating real-world viewing environments.
  • Lab-Based Neuro Research – Eye tracking, facial coding, EDA (skin conductance), heart rate, and other biometrics to capture non-conscious responses.
  • Self-Serve Testing Tools – Quick-turn, context-based ad tests clients can run with their own panels, featuring realistic replicas of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and CTV environments, plus AI-powered ad generation capabilities.

Role Overview:

We’re seeking an ambitious and strategic Sales Executive to grow our business with brand advertisers and agencies, with a particular focus on building new relationships and presence within the Chicago and Midwest advertising ecosystem..

This role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing opportunities for our research services and tools - helping marketers measure and optimize ad effectiveness in real-world contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting brand marketers and advertising agencies,. with an emphasis on Chicago- and Midwest-based relationships
  • Position MediaScience as a trusted research partner, emphasizing rigor, real-world relevance, and sales utility.
  • Prospect, qualify, and manage a pipeline of opportunities from first contact to close.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including insights leads, brand managers, media planners, and creative strategists.
  • Present MediaScience capabilities in compelling, consultative sales meetings and pitches.
  • Collaborate with internal research and operations teams to ensure client needs are met and projects are delivered successfully.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Represent MediaScience at Chicago-area industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of sales experience in media, advertising, market research, or related field.
  • Proven network and track record of selling to brands and agencies.
  • Strong understanding of advertising effectiveness, media planning, and campaign measurement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive results.
  • Passion for media, advertising, research innovation, and experimental design.

Hybrid

  • Expected to work a minimum of 1–2 days per week in the office, with additional in-office time as needed for meetings, client visits, and lab tours.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: Structure varies by candidate and experience and may include commission-only or base salary plus commission arrangements. Total on-target earnings typically range from $100,000–$250,000, based on performance and sales volume. Base salary plus commission and performance bonuses, tailored to experience.
