Job Description:

Sales Leader – Diagnostics & Life Sciences (Genomics & Molecular Biology)

Location: UAE (Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Northern Emirates – Field-based with regional travel)
Reports to: Managing / Regional Commercial Team

Position Summary

A leading diagnostics and life sciences organization is seeking a high-caliber Sales Leader – Diagnostics & Life Sciences to drive commercial growth across its genomics, molecular diagnostics, microbiology, and life-science solutions portfolio in the UAE and wider GCC region.

The successful candidate will combine strong scientific expertise with proven commercial leadership, engaging hospital laboratories, reference labs, research institutes, universities, and biopharma customers. This role is critical to expanding the organization’s footprint in NGS, PCR, molecular workflows, microbiome, oncology, infectious disease, and precision medicine solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies to achieve and exceed annual sales, margin, and growth targets.
  • Drive revenue across capital equipment, reagents, kits, consumables, and service contracts.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across clinical diagnostics and research markets.

Business Development

  • Identify and convert new opportunities within:
  • Government & private hospital laboratories
  • Reference and specialty laboratories
  • Academic & research institutions
  • Pharmaceutical & biotechnology companies
  • Proactively engage customers through site visits, networking, workshops, and targeted outreach.

Account & Stakeholder Management

  • Build long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), lab directors, clinicians, researchers, and procurement teams.
  • Act as a trusted scientific and commercial advisor, aligning customer needs with appropriate solutions.
  • Support strategic partnerships, framework agreements, and long-term contracts.

Technical & Scientific Engagement

  • Deliver high-impact technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workflow discussions covering:
  • PCR & qPCR
  • NGS platforms and library preparation
  • DNA/RNA extraction & automation
  • Oncology, infectious disease, microbiome, and research panels
  • Collaborate with application specialists and vendors during evaluations, validations, and installations.

Tender & Sales Cycle Management

  • Manage complex sales cycles including:
  • RFQs, RFPs, and government tenders
  • Pricing, negotiation, and contract closure
  • Post-sales follow-up and customer success
  • Coordinate internally with technical, service, logistics, and regulatory teams.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide structured market feedback to management to support portfolio expansion and go-to-market strategies.

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce or equivalent), including:
  • Opportunity tracking
  • Forecasting and pipeline reviews
  • Customer engagement documentation

Team Leadership (Senior Profiles)

  • Mentor junior sales or application team members.
  • Support internal training on product positioning, workflows, and market dynamics.

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or higher in:
  • Molecular Biology
  • Genomics
  • Biochemistry
  • Biomedical Science
  • Microbiology or a related life-science discipline

Experience

  • 3–7 years of successful customer-facing sales experience in:
  • Life sciences
  • Diagnostics
  • Genomics / Molecular Biology
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the UAE or GCC market.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • PCR / qPCR
  • Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
  • DNA/RNA extraction and sample preparation
  • Molecular diagnostic workflows
  • Ability to confidently engage scientific and clinical stakeholders.

Commercial & Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and territory management abilities.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in the field.

Mobility

  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UAE and KSA.
  • Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
