Sales Management Trainee

Designation : Sales Management Trainee

JOB PROFILE:

The Management Trainee – Sales role is designed to develop future sales and business development professionals

for the company. The selected candidate will undergo structured training and progressive exposure to the complete

sales cycle. The role will initially focus on sales coordination, proposal support, client follow-ups, and internal

coordination. Over time, the candidate will transition into lead generation, cold calling, client interaction, and

independent sales responsibilities. The position provides a clear growth path toward becoming a full-fledged Sales

Executive and subsequently handling key accounts or business verticals.

Qualifications:

  • MBA in Marketing / Sales / Business Development
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Industrial preferred)
  • 0–3 years of experience (Freshers encouraged to apply)
  • Strong academic foundation preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Phase 1 – Sales Coordination & Support

  • Assist in preparation of techno-commercial proposals and quotations
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, and Commercial teams for cost inputs
  • Follow up with clients for enquiries, clarifications, and documentation
  • Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline tracker
  • Support tender documentation and submission process

Phase 2 – Market Research & Lead Support

  • Conduct market research and identify potential customers
  • Develop and update client database
  • Support initial prospect outreach under supervision
  • Track competitor and industry developments

Phase 3 – Independent Sales Execution

  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals
  • Conduct client meetings and understand technical requirements
  • Prepare and present proposals
  • Support negotiation within defined commercial boundaries
  • Achieve assigned sales targets
  • Coordinate order handover to Projects team upon closure

Preferred Experience:

  • Internship or exposure to industrial / EPC / manufacturing sales environment
  • Experience supporting tender submissions (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Exposure to B2B sales processes

Notes :

  • This is a structured growth role with defined training phases.
  • Initial 6–12 months will focus on coordination and learning.
  • Progression to independent sales responsibilities will be performance-based.
  • Travel may be required in later stages of the role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹25,366.63 - ₹35,837.38 per month
