The Sales Manager will lead and manage the sales efforts for an automation company. The ideal candidate will drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and managing a high-performing sales team. The role requires a deep understanding of automation technology, manufacturing processes, and market trends to effectively position the company’s products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and market penetration goals.
- Identify emerging markets, customer needs, and new business opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals.
- Set clear performance objectives, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as a point of escalation for resolving client issues or concerns.
Product and Industry Knowledge:
- Experienced with handling sales in Automation and should have good knowledge of Servo, Stepper, PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Control Panel.
- Stay updated on automation technologies, manufacturing innovations, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand technical specifications and ensure proper communication with clients.
- Provide insights to product development teams based on customer feedback and market demands.
Sales Operations:
- Manage the sales pipeline, track performance metrics, and report on sales activities to senior management.
- Ensure effective use of CRM tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date client information.
- Oversee pricing strategies and ensure alignment with company profitability goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in Electronics / Instrumentation / EC / IC/ BE
- 7+ years of experience in sales, preferably in automation, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, and industrial machinery.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
