Sales Manager

Firefighters Move U KY is a growing professional moving company providing residential, commercial, local, and long-distance moving services. We work with homeowners, businesses, apartment communities, property managers, senior living communities, real estate professionals, and other referral partners to deliver efficient, professional, and stress-free moving experiences. Our company is built on urgency, accountability, customer service, and strong communication, and we are looking for a proven sales professional to help drive revenue growth and strengthen our sales operation.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales Manager based in Nicholasville, KY. This position is responsible for helping grow revenue through inbound lead conversion, consistent follow-up, business development, relationship management, and overall sales performance. The Sales Manager will play a major role in improving close rates, increasing booked jobs, building referral partnerships, and bringing structure and accountability to the sales process.

This is not an entry-level sales role. We are looking for someone with real sales experience who understands how to communicate value, build trust, follow up consistently, ask for the business, and produce results. Experience in the moving industry is strongly preferred. Candidates with strong experience in home services, logistics, restoration, relocation, or other service-based sales environments may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound leads, calls, quote requests, and follow-up opportunities with urgency and professionalism
  • Convert inbound opportunities into booked jobs through strong communication and consistent follow-up
  • Help build, improve, and maintain the company’s sales process, lead handling standards, and pipeline discipline
  • Maintain accurate CRM notes, lead statuses, and customer information
  • Help ensure quotes are accurate, clearly communicated, and aligned with operational capabilities
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with real estate offices, apartment communities, senior living communities, property managers, restoration companies, storage facilities, and other business partners
  • Conduct local outreach and business development to generate new referral opportunities
  • Track sales performance, lead activity, follow-up effectiveness, and close rates
  • Work closely with ownership and operations to improve sales results and customer experience
  • Bring leadership, accountability, and performance expectations to the sales function

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience with a strong record of closing business and driving revenue
  • Sales leadership, lead management, or business development experience strongly preferred
  • Moving industry sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in relocation, logistics, restoration, home services, or similar service-based sales is a plus
  • Strong phone, in-person, and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation, follow-up, and relationship-building ability
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline effectively
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation
Compensation includes base pay plus performance-based incentives. We are looking for someone who wants to be rewarded for results. Incentive opportunities will be tied to performance and may include booked jobs, close rate, lead conversion, referral growth, revenue contribution, and overall sales impact. Compensation will depend on experience, industry background, and proven ability to perform.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
