Sales Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth across our retail operations. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily sales activities, develop strategic plans to meet sales targets, and foster a high-performance environment. Duties

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and store sales goals through effective coaching and training.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company objectives, including promotional campaigns and merchandising initiatives.
  • Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, pricing adjustments, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential.
  • Conduct hiring interviews, onboarding, and ongoing employee orientation to build a skilled and engaged team.
  • Manage payroll processing, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping tasks to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor store performance metrics using POS (Point of Sale) systems and retail math principles to optimize sales efficiency.
  • Foster excellent customer service by addressing escalated issues promptly and ensuring the team maintains high standards of communication skills and phone etiquette.
  • Supervise shift management, scheduling, and inventory control to maintain smooth store operations.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts and merchandising strategies to attract customers and increase sales volume.
  • Provide leadership in training & development initiatives focused on retail management skills such as supervision, team management, budgeting, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant manager roles with supervising experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication skills in a multilingual or bilingual environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development processes.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, purchasing procedures, and retail math principles.
  • Experience with retail management tasks including merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and store management.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities such as shift management and customer service excellence.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while maintaining high standards of customer service; previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred.
