Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team to achieve individual and store sales goals through effective management and coaching.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives to increase revenue and market share.
- Conduct employee orientation, training, and ongoing development to ensure team members are knowledgeable about products, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
- Oversee inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize store presentation and profitability.
- Manage daily store operations including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory control.
- Recruit new talent by interviewing candidates, evaluating skills, and selecting suitable team members to strengthen the sales force.
- Foster excellent customer service by ensuring staff provide friendly, professional assistance while maintaining effective communication skills across diverse customer groups.
- Monitor retail math metrics such as sales per hour, average transaction value, and conversion rates to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and boost store visibility.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling, employee scheduling (shift management), health & safety standards, and store procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant manager roles with supervising experience.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and leadership within a retail environment.
- Proficiency in managing POS systems, inventory management software, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, marketing fundamentals, and store operations including stock control and inventory management.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with wireless sales or grocery store environments is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining high standards of customer service etiquette such as phone etiquette.
- Strong time management skills with a focus on operational efficiency; previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred. Pay: $70,589.15 - $85,010.59 per year
