Overview

The sales leadership role focuses on developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals and increase market share within the GCC and government segments. The role involves managing relationships with key Government entities, Travel Agents, Corporate accounts, GSO's and DMCs, and driving opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Anantara products.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the business strategy and positioning of the Anantara brand, and articulate this positioning in the marketplace.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Anantara product and service offerings, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Approach personal sales activities strategically, prioritizing the current account base and directing sales efforts accordingly.
  • Review actual production of each account against potential and propose improvements with department leadership.
  • Establish new client contacts and develop information on potential revenues from these accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals and increase market share within the GCC and government segments; manage relationships with Government entities, Travel Agents, Corporate accounts, GSO's and DMCs.
  • Achieve personal financial and non-financial performance objectives with department leadership.
  • Maintain professional development in financial literacy, negotiation, and face-to-face selling skills required for the role.
  • Maintain accurate management reporting on business results and action planning.
  • Practice effective cost control and adhere to internal expenditure procedures.
  • Participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips and roadshows to meet hotel sales targets.
  • Liaise with operations to ensure accurate delivery of our promise.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities for Anantara products.
  • Maintain working knowledge of sales tools, including sales software, property PMS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ensure all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Demonstrated track record of managing GCC Leisure, Corporate and Government segments
  • Fluency in Arabic and English; additional languages are advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of the GCC market and government protocols
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel frequently within GCC countries for business trips
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
