Sales Manager (International Logistics Co.)

Position: Sales – International Logistics (Air/Sea Freight)
Location: Mumbai
Industry: Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Supply Chain

Role:

To drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients and managing existing accounts in International Air & Sea freight (Import & Export), while delivering high service standards and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1️ Business Development

  • Identify and acquire new clients for Air & Sea freight (Import/Export).
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital platforms.
  • Conduct client meetings and present logistics solutions.
  • Develop customized freight proposals and close deals.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

2️ Client Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with exporters, importers, CHA, and supply chain partners.
  • Understand customer shipping patterns and suggest cost-effective solutions.
  • Handle customer queries related to pricing, transit time, documentation, and customs.

3️ Pricing & Coordination

  • Coordinate with pricing, operations, and overseas agents for competitive freight rates.
  • Negotiate rates with airlines/shipping lines (for manager-level roles).
  • Ensure smooth execution of shipments with operations team.

4️ Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
  • Identify new trade lanes and business opportunities.
  • Track industry movements in air and ocean freight.

5️ Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain updated records in CRM.
  • Prepare weekly sales pipeline reports.
  • Track target vs achievement.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments (where applicable).
