Position:Kafka Sales Manager
Position Overview:
Kafka Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving sales growth and building long-term client relationships by offering real-time data streaming and integration solutions powered by Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka.This role demands a client-focused professional with proven experience in B2B technology sales, particularly in Kafka, Data Streaming, and Enterprise Integration. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of event-driven architectures, real-time analytics, and data infrastructure, with a passion for identifying client needs, recommending value-driven solutions, and strategically managing accounts to achieve sales targets and strengthen Company's market presence in the data streaming domain.
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of enterprise technology solutions across integration, analytics, data management, and security.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce, Zoho, or equivalent) and sales tracking tools.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation and IT sales processes.
Certifications (Optional):
- Sales certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional).
- IT-related (Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka & Data Streaming)
Experience:
- 5+ years preferably in Kafka, Data Streaming, Event-Driven Architectures, or Enterprise Middleware domains.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in enterprise or technology-driven environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes that resonate with client decision-makers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage at both technical and executive levels.
- Collaborative mindset to work closely with pre-sales, delivery, and marketing teams to drive successful client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles for Kafka and event-streaming products/solutions.
- Identify, qualify, and close opportunities within enterprise and mid-market segments.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Develop account strategies to expand Kafka adoption across target industries.
Customer Engagement
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and pain points.
- Present Kafka-based solutions through demos, presentations, and POCs.
- Partner with solution architects to design technical solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
Market & Product Expertise
- Maintain deep understanding of Apache Kafka, Confluent platform, and surrounding ecosystem (e.g., connectors, schema registry, streaming apps).
- Stay updated on industry trends such as event-driven architecture, data streaming, microservices, and cloud data engineering.
- Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and messaging for Kafka offerings.
- Work with engineering and product teams to improve solution positioning.
- Coordinate with customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹2,000,000.00 per year
Experience:
