Job Purpose
The Sales Manager – Leisure is responsible for driving leisure segment revenue through proactive sales efforts, account management, and market development. The role focuses on maximizing room revenue, market share, and brand presence by building strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, and online partners, in line with hotel and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve leisure revenue targets.
· Identify, solicit, and manage leisure accounts including tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, and DMCs.
· Conduct regular sales calls, market visits, and client meetings to build and maintain strong business relationships.
· Negotiate rates, contracts, and agreements in line with revenue and brand guidelines.
· Prepare and manage leisure contracts, including allotments and seasonal rate structures.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
· Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing and inventory for the leisure segment.
· Coordinate with Marketing on promotions, campaigns, and brand initiatives targeting leisure markets.
· Participate in trade shows, roadshows, sales missions, and networking events as required.
· Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and account production tracking.
· Maintain up-to-date client records and activities in the CRM system.
· Ensure all sales activities comply with hotel policies, brand standards, and legal requirements.
Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
· Achieve assigned monthly and annual revenue budgets.
· Analyze account performance and take corrective action when required.
· Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates.
Guest & Brand Focus
· Represent the hotel professionally in all client interactions.
· Promote brand values, loyalty programs, and hotel offerings to leisure partners.
· Ensure seamless communication between clients and operational teams for smooth guest experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales, with a strong focus on leisure markets.
· Proven track record of achieving sales targets within a hotel or hospitality environment.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
· Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.
· Solid understanding of leisure market dynamics and distribution channels.
· Proficiency in sales systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
