Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Sales:
- Drive sales and growth for epoxy resins, acrylic resins, carbon black, and specialty additives across assigned territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with paint, ink, coatings, adhesives, and sealants manufacturers.
- Manage key accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Understand customer needs and recommend technically suitable products.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Conduct competitor analysis, pricing trends, and market mapping.
- Provide inputs for sales forecasting, pricing, and product positioning.
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Technical Support & Coordination:
- Coordinate with application/technical support teams to conduct product trials, sampling, and problem-solving.
- Ensure smooth coordination between customers and internal supply chain/technical teams.
- Sales Operations:
- Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and monthly reports.
- Monitor receivables, ensure timely collections, and handle credit issues where applicable.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, seminars, and trade shows.
Key Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc. / B.Tech. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 5–10 years in B2B sales of specialty chemicals, especially with epoxy resins, acrylic resins, or carbon black.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the paint, coatings, inks, adhesives, or plastic compounding industries.
- Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of resins, pigments, additives, etc.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage key accounts and long-term customer relationships.
- Self-driven with a proven track record in meeting sales targets.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior roles in companies dealing in or distributing raw materials to paint and coatings industry (e.g., Arkema, Evonik, DIC, BASF, Dow, etc.)
- Knowledge of REACH/chemical compliance, documentation, and import procedures.
Travel:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region for customer meetings, trials, and business development.
