Job Description – Sales Manager (Solar Division)

Job Summary

The Sales Manager – Solar Division will be responsible for leading the solar sales team, driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, and expanding market share in residential, commercial, and industrial solar solutions. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of solar systems, and the ability to build long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Lead, train, mentor, and monitor the performance of the solar sales team.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, architects, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations for solar solutions.
  • Prepare and review quotations, proposals, tenders, and commercial agreements.
  • Coordinate with the technical and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Maintain an updated sales pipeline and ensure accurate CRM reporting.
  • Forecast sales, prepare performance reports, and present results to management.
  • Participate in exhibitions, seminars, and networking events to promote the company’s solar solutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective pre-sales and after-sales support.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5–8 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in the solar/renewable energy industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, net metering, and EPC projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
