The Sales Manager – Transport (40ft Container) is responsible for generating business, acquiring clients, and managing relationships in the logistics and containerized transportation sector. The role includes sales of 40ft container transport services, route optimization, pricing negotiations, key account management, and coordination with operations teams to ensure timely deliveries. The goal is to grow revenue, expand the customer base, and maintain strong market positioning in Pakistan’s transport & logistics industry.

1. Business Development

  • Identify and acquire new clients requiring 40ft container transport services within Pakistan (Karachi–Lahore, Karachi–Islamabad, Karachi–Peshawar, upcountry routes, port-to-port, and warehouse-to-port).
  • Develop strong relationships with freight forwarders, importers/exporters, clearing agents, manufacturers, distributors, and logistics companies.
  • Generate sales leads through field visits, networking, cold calls, and digital outreach.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by the company.
  • Develop competitive pricing proposals and negotiate rates with customers.
  • Maintain profitability by monitoring market rates (port transport, bonded transport, inland container service).

3. Client Management & Retention

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure continuous business.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure smooth loading/unloading and on-time delivery.
  • Provide shipment updates and ensure customer satisfaction.

4. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Keep updated on market freight rates, fuel price impact trends, toll tax updates, and seasonal demands.
  • Analyze competitor offerings in transport services (40ft high cube, dry containers, flatbed trailers).
  • Recommend service improvements and new business opportunities based on market insights.

5. Coordination with Operations & Dispatch

  • Work with the operations team to arrange trailers, manage fleet availability, and allocate 40ft containers.
  • Follow up on trip execution, driver coordination, tracking, and timely POD submission.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, weight limitations, and transport regulations.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare quotations, sales contracts, and service agreements.
  • Maintain records of weekly sales performance, client follow-up, and pipeline reports.
  • Submit daily/weekly activity reports to line management.
  • Assist in invoicing, follow-up on pending payments, and credit control (if required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Sales & Marketing of transportation: 10 years (Preferred)
