Sales Officer

Role Objective

To achieve sales targets in the assigned territory by expanding retail coverage, maintaining strong distributor and retailer relationships, and ensuring effective execution in the market. Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Target Achievement

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets (value & volume).
• Execute sales plans and promotional activities in the territory.
• Ensure primary and secondary sales as per company norms.

2. Retail & Distributor Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with retailers and distributors.
• Ensure proper product availability and visibility at retail outlets.
• Take orders, ensure timely dispatch, and follow up on collections.

3. Market Coverage & Expansion

• Appoint new retailers and expand distribution reach.
• Ensure regular beat coverage and productivity norms.
• Identify new market opportunities and potential outlets.

4. Merchandising & Visibility

• Ensure correct product placement, POSM deployment, and scheme execution.
• Monitor competitor activities and pricing in the market.

5. Reporting & Coordination

• Submit daily sales reports, beat plans, and market feedback.
• Coordinate with warehouse, supply chain, and finance teams.
• Maintain accurate sales and stock records.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good local market knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel / Sales apps.
• Result-oriented and customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Graduate (preferred) / 12th pass with relevant experience.
• Experience: 1–4 years in field sales (FMCG / Retail / HORECA preferred).
• Languages: Local language mandatory.
