The Executive is responsible for managing, monitoring, and ensuring the smooth, compliant operations of all Maktaba-tul-Madinah shops (POS) across Pakistan. This role requires strong coordination across Finance, IT, HR, and Supply Chain departments to achieve operational excellence and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- POS Management: Oversee day-to-day shop activities, ensuring strict compliance with SOPs and cash handling procedures.
- Sales Analysis: Collaborate on defining monthly POS sales targets. Monitor sales performance, analyze product/regional trends, and provide actionable feedback.
- Inventory & Cash: Track daily stock levels, coordinate replenishment with Supply Chain, and verify GRNs/adjustments. Verify daily cash deposits and reconcile with POS reports to monitor receivables.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary link between Head Office and shops. Coordinate with GSD/IT for maintenance and technical support, and with HR/Ijara for all shop staff matters (hiring, payroll, attendance, etc.).
- Compliance: Conduct periodic inspections and review audit findings to maintain operational quality, proper display, and ethical customer engagement.
- Travel: Required to visit all shops across Pakistan at least twice a year.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Commerce, Retail/Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience required in Sales operations, Retail POS supervision, Stock/cash reconciliation, or Multi-location coordination. Experience in bookstore operations or Islamic organizations is a strong advantage.
- Technical: Proficiency in POS systems and ERP modules. Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting). Expertise in stock control, cash reconciliation, and sales analysis.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and ethical conduct aligned with Dawat-e-Islami values.
